New air conditioning system takes some getting used to

This new air conditioning unit I got for my place is really something else.

Compared to some other appliances I recently replaced or upgraded, this A/C unit really stacks up! Just for the sake of comparison, I recently replaced my old refrigerator with a much newer model.

The old appliance was killing me as far as energy costs were concerned, though I believed that was a necessary cost. Now that I have the new refrigerator installed, I’m blown away by how efficient this new one is, all the while being more powerful! It’s crazy how more efficient versions of pretty much everything exist today. The same goes for the aforementioned air conditioning unit as well. When I was relying on my old A/C unit, the thing would often run for over an hour at a time, and wouldn’t cycle off unless I went to the thermostat and manually turned it off. With this new air conditioning unit, I don’t have to worry about that anymore! As it turns out, there was a big problem with my old unit, too – it was too small for my house. I now have an air conditioning unit that is one ton larger than the old one, so it cycles at the correct frequency. This means less times that the A/C unit is turning on and off, which is a colossal energy-eating action for the A/C unit to take. Plus, with the unit being so new, it is designed to be far more efficient for cooling the house. I can’t get enough of these renovations!
