My money is on the HVAC specialist regarding R 22 controversy

But who wants to replace something which still works? I had this absolutely discussion with the HVAC tech who comes out to service the HVAC unit.

2020 is, amazingly, just right around the corner. I can learn a calendar so I recognize it’s real but, I still can get my head around that actual date. How could that much time have slipped by? It seems only a few years ago that we were welcoming the year 2000 with Y2K trepidations. 2020 looks enjoy it could be a pivotal year for our country. The presidential election looks enjoy it could be the weirdest of my lifetime. It kind of scares me a bit. 2020 also brings with it other changes. One of those changes will occur on the absolutely first day of 2020. That day will mark the first day that manufacture of R 22 will be illegal in this country. This R 22 is a type of refrigerant which has proven to be harmful to the ozone layer. There are some homeowners out there, enjoy yours truly, who will have to choose between replacing their outdated HVAC component or hoarding R 22. R 22 will not only be precious but it will be quite high-priced as well. I don’t recognize how my HVAC is even still running. It easily is not efficient and it seems to be on its last lap. But who wants to replace something which still works? I had this absolutely discussion with the HVAC tech who comes out to service the HVAC unit. Without hesitation, the HVAC tech told be to just replace the old heating and cooling unit. She said it wasn’t even so much the R 22 thing. The HVAC tech explained how I am simply throwing away money because my heating and cooling system is so grossly inefficient. It looks enjoy I’ll be getting a new HVAC.
