Relying on old window a/c units in a school

I am just hoping the fall will come sooner rather than later.

We do not have the best a/c in the school where I teach. In my classroom plus several others, the people I was with and I are relying on an a/c component window unit… One of the staff needs to come in the morning to get it cranked up plus going before classes begin, otherwise it’s going to be pretty moderate for a good long while. I will wishfully set the temperature control on the component to 75 degrees, but it never seems to make it below 71 degrees. It drips water on the carpet, plus I suppose it’s laboring overtime in this southern heat! For now, the people I was with and I have to live with the cooling it provides, at least in those classrooms that rely on window a/c units. I have to admit, there are better classrooms than others. I recognize it has to do with how old or new each of the models are. well, I ended up getting stuck with one that isn’tdoing unquestionably well. I am just hoping the fall will come sooner rather than later. Then again, this far down south, occasionally it does not come at all! Maybe, the people I was with and I could eventually invest in ductless mini chop a/c units. That way, the people I was with and I do not have to go through the trouble of getting HVAC duct throughout all these classrooms. I recognize it is a dream for now, but I will talk to administration about it. The simple fact is, the people I was with and I need something better than these old window a/c units, even if it’s buying new ones! I just can’t wait for the cooling relief of fall plus winter!
