Improving employee productivity in my small business with a new HVAC system

I managed to find a rebate offer from a local HVAC supplier and set to have everything tore out and replaced on a Saturday

I own a small computer repair shop. Adding up everyone in my operation brings us to six people in total including myself. I have two workers who specialize in hardware repair and another two who handle software instead. The final person mans the phones and the front desk while I handle orders, accounting, and everything else. It took several years of incremental growth to get to this place today, and I have to say I’m proud of my business and my hardworking employees who make its success possible. The only major issue I’m running into right now is the old HVAC system in the space I’m renting. It’s loud and never gets the shop cool enough. We all leave each night with partially soaked clothes from sweating for eight hours straight. Although none of my workers outright complain, I can tell that they’re all extremely uncomfortable while they work and I can’t help but think it directly affects everyone’s work output. I decided to invest in a new heating and cooling system to make all of my employees at the shop happier and more relaxed during the work day. I managed to find a rebate offer from a local HVAC supplier and set to have everything tore out and replaced on a Saturday. By the following Monday, everything was in place. Watching everyone’s reactions as they all walked in that day and felt the rush of cold air made everything worth it for me. Hopefully this will be another improvement that directly improves the success of this small business.
