I wouldn’t fall for that
My Grandmother’s air conditioner unit was as outdated as her Billy Graham cassette tape collection; She had been using the same Heating, Ventilation, and A/C provider for decades – though the company had changed owners and names a few times, but her Heating, Ventilation, and A/C was first installed as one of the first ones on the block, but the neighbors all had their own oil furnaces and kept a hearty supply of ice snacks in the ice box come summertime time, however my Grandmother, having just landed a new gig at the jewelry counter, had her oil furnace ripped out and the parts sold for cash. This along with her cool new gig allowed her to get a state of the art central heating and cooling system. The neighborhood youngsters would try to come over, and in order to win her over their parents would bring over cakes fresh out of the heated oven, just out of the kindness of their hearts of course. One by one the others in the neighborhood were able to get their own oil furnaces for the Winter season, all with one of the more than two or multiple Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies that served the area. My Grandmother swore that her Heating, Ventilation, and A/C provider was the best in show, and had become friends with the several Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporations who would come every 6 weeks on the dot for cleaning and systems check-up. As times wore on and the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company changed hands, some greedy businessmen would try to get her to get services and replacements she didn’t need. But, her having known the oldest people in the business, she didn’t fall for it. She would make sure the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company veterans would be the ones to come over and tell it to her straight!
