Checking into a hotel
My friends and I have been looking forward to this trip for the past six months. Originally pitched as a joke, we all decided to go to this beach resort and rent a beach house intended for a family of six. We did this to get a place to stay overnight that wasn’t too pricey, and we wanted somewhere cool to stay for several days. What we didn’t expect upon entering this beach house was the incredible air conditioning! The central A/C system was blasting cool air in the house, with the main common area having a temperature of about sixty-eight degrees. I know what you’re thinking: “Why would anyone want to stay in a beach house with such overpowered air conditioning?” Well, anyone who’s been sunburnt at the beach knows how valuable it is to go into a shaded home, and relax in the ice-cold air conditioning that seems to soothe your sunburns. I know that’s the case for me, as I often play for too long in the sun and end up red as a tomato! When I get too sunburnt, a beach house with a central forced A/C unit is my oasis. Anyway, the beach house had other great features, like cooling towers in each of the bedrooms and a cool mist humidifier where the loft bedroom was located. The owners of this beach house were serious about their air conditioning, and we couldn’t have been happier about that – we all were so sunburnt by the end of the first day, we spent most of our vacation inside the beach house!
