HVAC zone control for a baby proof home
When my wife and I found out we were having our first baby, we were overjoyed! We have been trying for kids together for the past three years, and we honestly couldn’t believe it at first that something finally worked. Even then, we waited through the first trimester before we really started making changes around the house, just in case something happened. But now that the baby is showing great progress, we’ve begun baby proofing the whole house in earnest. The first changes we made were to all of the corners and buying more childproof locks than I ever thought we would need in our lives–yet we have used every last one. All of our cleaning products are now organic, and the stove has a cover that goes over it when we’re done cooking so there’s no way to possibly touch a hot surface. Finally, we’re working on having the heating and cooling system updated. We know the baby is going to need more heat than the two of us do, so we are having an additional HVAC zone control installed in the baby’s room in addition to a humidistat and an air purification system. The humidistat will modify the moisture in the air, so it doesn’t get to dry for the baby’s skin. Then the air purification system will include a type of light called UVC which works to destroy bacteria in the air as it passes through the system, essentially removing and dangerous bacteria from the whole house. With these updates to the HVAC system, we will have the perfect home for our newest addition to the family.
