A new heater

My buddy Tommy is not the smartest. My buddy wanted to remove the old chimney in his house and then add a furnace system. He ripped out the chimney and damaged the roof in the process. There is currently a big hole right in the ceiling and roof of the house. To stop wind and dirt from getting in the home, my buddy simply put a giant tarp over it. Then he got his heating system installed and figured the roof repair could happen later. Well, Tommy has now waited too long on the repair. It has started to snow and the tarp can’t take it. Snow has leaked into his house by the inches. The tarp has to constantly be reset too. The new heating equipment is not running too efficiently either. The reason is that the big hole in the house is letting all the heating out. The heater has to run longer and harder hours than it normally would. The tarp is not an airtight sealant for the home. The house is barely above freezing even with the gas heater on. My buddy really needs to get his roof fixed or the furnace is going to overheat due to overuse. Heat naturally rises as well. All the heating is going right up and out of the home. How stupid can you be? My buddy should have gotten the roof fixed way before the heating system was installed. Now he can’t afford a new roof since he bought a heater. He will lose the heater before he can fix the roof too.
