Odors with the HVAC filter
My family grew up in the southwest, and while I helped my father outdoors, my siblings and I always helped our Mom in the home kitchen… I enjoyed and loved when Mom cooked liver and peppers. It was always my number one favorite dish! She made liver and mashed potatoes and garlic dusted brussel sprouts. I still like the taste of liver and peppers, however it leaves a really bad smell in the house, however occasionally the smell of liver and peppers will linger in our house for nights at a time. I finally realized the best way to get rid of that smell. It’s going to sound actually pretty strange, however it’s an easy but kind of complicated process of manipulating our ventilation system, then first, I leave the heating and cooling ventilation fan running over the stove for a few hours before I start making liver and peppers, however next step is, I place a smell-free dryer sheet inside of the area where our air filter rests. I then placed the dryer sheet on the bottom of the air filter, so the air flow keeps it in place the entire time. For some reason, it seems like the dryer sheet collects the smells and stinks as they pass through the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C system. I also use the ventilation fan for the attic itself as well too. With all 3 areas fully and truly covered, I can keep the house liver and pepper smell free. It seems like a lot of tasking work to use all of the ventilation components of the HVAC system, however my liver and peppers are well worth the price, time, effort and headache to do it all!!
