I got far too much hair in the ductwork
I hate animals because they are annoying and a lot of work. Everybody in my family has at least one animal though. Also, it seems like everybody in my family travels. So, I often get called to babysit whatever animal gets left behind. I usually say no, but this most recent time I decided to be nice. I took in my brother’s huge dog. The dog was messy, annoying and he shed in three different colors. I had to vacuum my place every single day because of the hair. The real icing on the cake is that I noticed the hair polluted my indoor air quality. Since the dog sheds faster than I can clean up the fur, the hair got sucked up into the HVAC unit. My central HVAC unit uses ductwork to make the whole home one temperature. The fur made its way into the ductwork and then blew out each air vent. Every room in my house then had fur on the floor and floating around in the air. It looked like something out of a horror movie. The thought that I was breathing in the dog’s hair everyday grossed me out to no end. When I got rid of the dog, I did major HVAC cleaning. I had to get a whole new air filter, have a HVAC contractor clean the HVAC and then do intense ductwork cleaning. It took all day to get the house back to normal and everything to be clean. Why would I ever want a dog when they require so much work?
